TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN CHALLENGE is an exciting event, for amateur riders, within the Sibiu Cycling Tour,
a pre-race before the pros’ competition.
The challenge is at its 5th edition and it will take place on the 4th of July 2025.

Our vision
Transfăgărășan Challenge aims to offer amateur riders the chance to enjoy an amazing ride on Romania’s most spectacular road. The event is open to all local, national and international amateur riders, both women and men (over the age of 17), giving everyone the feeling of a professional race. The competition is scheduled within the Sibiu Cycling Tour, as a pre-race before the pros competition.

Whether you want to compete, challenge yourself or just enjoy the scenery, the Transfăgărășan Challenge will definitely offer you a great sense of accomplishment. The competition is open to all those who want to test their limits, but also to those who just want to feel the adrenaline of a real challenge.
